The Australian Monitor Microphone Pre Amplifier takes a balanced XLR Mic Level input from a microphone or other device, or an unbalanced Line Level Stereo RCA input and converts to a balanced, Line Level XLR output.

Also available is Phantom Power on the XLR input so the Australian Monitor Microphone Pre Amplifier can be used with both powered and unpowered microphones. Where this device is useful is that it enables virtually any type of audio source to be used with anything that requires a line level input such as digital recording devices, desktop and laptop computers, headphones.

The onboard gain control on the Australian Monitor Microphone Pre Amplifier allows the level of the output to be controlled, useful for providing a simple volume control at the podium or mic location rather than wherever the amplifier or mixer is located or at each speaker in the case of active or powered speakers.
